You don't have to be an official gardener to use that thread. It's to ask questions about tagging for everyone, and to let mods know about changes that need to be made in bulk, since they have access to a mass-tagging tool. (For example merging two artist's tags into one, with hundreds of images under both names. Sometimes that happens, since some artists change nicks over time, confusing uploaders.)

Understandable, but "gardeners" is just Gelbooru's term for everyone who spends times tagging images. There's a Gardener's Guild group you can be added to, which makes it easier to tag (it removes the CAPTCHA and the 10 second delay between edits), but it's not necessary to be in it.

Getting to the cool bois Gardener's Guild Club seems to be quite tricky. I asked if they could let me in, but they left me on hold.
All this time i was a gardener and didn't even knew it.
